AIGA AiOC is The Art Institute of California – Orange County’s Student Group, part of the Orange County Chapter of AIGA National. When you join you are becoming a member of AIGA National. To join AIGA, there is normally an annual membership fee of $295, however as a student you are entitled to a discounted fee of $60 per year. Your membership begins on the date that your membership is processed by AIGA National headquarters. Because we receive a discounted membership rate, we have a different method of processing membership dues, via the student chapter you pay your $60 (limited time) fee, and when a total of 20 new members have signed up, all 20 of those persons receive their membership. Because of the terms of our discounted membership, there may be a slight delay in receiving your membership card while we accrue each 20-member requirement. However, while waiting for your membership card, you are a member of the AIGA AiOC and entitled to all the benefits and events our student group has to offer, including free entrance to most AIGA AiOC events, as well as the AIGA OC Chapter events.

AIGA AiOC offers CURRENT STUDENTS three ways to pay: Paid In Full – You pay a one-time yearly fee of $60 Option 1 – Fee is divided into 2 payments of $32 each month Option 2 – Fee is divided into 3 payments of $12 each month
AIGA Membership Form
GRADUATING STUDENTS: General Student Discount – You pay a one-time yearly fee of $75 (Graduating students are those that are in their last quarter before recieving their B.A. or Associates degree. We cannot give you the lower rate because you will need to provide student documentation upon receiving your membership. If you have graduated you will be unable to provide this proof and your membership will defualt to a six (6) month term.) Note on dues and wait times Your membership fees are held in an account in the AIGA AiOC Student Group’s name by The Art Institute of California – Orange County department of Student Affairs, the funds are NOT used by AIGA AiOC or the school in ANY way, and are stored in the account only while accumulating the 20 member requirement. Typical wait times usually take one or two quarters (3-6 months). If you would like your membership rush ordered, an additional fee of $25.00 is charged by AIGA National. Your funds are used to pay for your membership dues with AIGA National and $10 of the $60 is contributed to the annual student chapter fee. The student group fee covers events, food, and marketing for all events for the year. Graduating students no longer qualify for the student group discount. All of the graduating student’s fee goes toward their immediate membership, there is no wait time. The AIGA AiOC Student Group does not receive any contribution from a graduating student’s membership fee.If you elect to pay in increments, Option 1 or 2, AIGA AiOC charges you an additional fee (your total membership due is $64.00 for Option 1 and $66.00 for Option 2), for processing your payment(s). This fee goes directly to the student group’s general account to be used for AIGA AiOC events.
